THE MWHS BAND BOOSTERS is a parent volunteer group, in partnership with the band director and school administration, that provides support for our marching band including flag corp, and concert band. The boosters raise funds to bridge the considerable gap between the school district's budget and the needs of our band program. Some of this includes the cost of sheet music, uniforms, instruments, repairs, transportation, equipment, and other classroom materials. We are involved in many fundraising efforts to make these things possible.

The Band Boosters are committed to the task of assisting those less fortunate to also participate and enjoy the benefits of band membership. We pledge to promote a spirit of fellowship and goodwill with all areas of the school and always encourage our students to be the best ambassadors possible for Morristown West High School.

The Band Boosters also seek to make Hamblen County aware of the treasure they have in this band program, through publicizing their performances, activities, and achievements. We feel it is important and our role to keep school administration and county decision makers informed about the benefits to a student's overall education when it includes participation in an excellent music program.

All band and flag corp parents need to take an active role in supporting our band program. We look forward to new parents, new leadership and the support of your new ideas, energy, and enthusiasm. Please take a look at the list below as well as our Volunteer Page and Contact Us to take part.  Receive announcements and reminders for the Band Program from the Band Director and the MWHS Band Boosters by email.

Why We Need Your Help
Many local band programs have participation fees of $300-500. We do not. Instead we rely on volunteers who generously donate their time and talents to keep this band program available to ALL students. Most of our money is earned through the operation of our concession stands. Volunteer hours can be spent working in concessions, chaperoning, altering/repairing uniforms, soliciting donations from area businesses, working at various fundraisers, coordinating schedules with parents, planning parties, etc. EVERY band parent needs to volunteer to do their share.

To volunteer to fill any of the empty positions listed below or fill out the message form on our Contact Page. Also see our Volunteers Page for a list of game and event workers needed. Thank you for the generous gift of your time and talent! If you have any questions you may click on any of the names below or use the message form on our Contact Page.
